Pete brings 20 years of urban ministry experience in the cities of LA and San Diego to his role as Lead Pastor. His passion is to develop ministries and empower others to serve. As a church, he leads us as we serve our community with the love of Christ. Pete lives in the City Heights section of San Diego with his wife, Julie and their four children.

Pastor Nate Landis, School Pastor
As “Pastor to Schools,” Rev. Nate Landis oversees our church’s partnership with
Urban Youth Collaborative. Altogether, UYC churches share the life changing message of hope in Jesus with 1,400 students every week at 36 schools in San Diego County. By 2020, we want to see every public middle school and high school partnered with a local church. New Vision Christian Fellowship serves as a model for church/school partnerships and influences churches throughout San Diego County through their innovative holistic work at San Diego High, Crawford High, and Gompers Preparatory Academy. Nate is married to his best friend Angela. Together they have two fun loving and adorable boys: Russell and Rocco.

Pastor James Pope, Pastoral care and families
James oversees family ministry and pastoral care here at New Vision. James has a wide range of experience in local churches and as a drug recovery counselor. James’ compassion and servant’s heart make him a valued brother in the kingdom. He lives in City Heights with his wife Julie and their four children.

Pastor David Powell, Pastor for Celebrate Recovery, Community Groups, Seniors
David oversees the Celebrate Recovery ministry, and Life Groups, as well as taking care of the needs of the campus here at New Vision. David has a passion for God and is married to Brenda with 3 grown children who he loves. He is a native of San Diego and has been raised in the church since he was 10 years old. He serves the church selflessly and loves the people, the place, the city and serving the Lord.

Pastor James Gordon, Assistant Pastor, Founder of New Era Outreach
Pastor James has a passion for the Lord and loves to deep sea fish as well as cook. He is a fun loving person who loves to talk with people and share about Christ. He is married to his beautiful wife, Valerie and has 4 children. Pastor James is an active evangelist and founder of
New Era Outreach.

Chelsea Powell, Ministry Assistant
Chelsea is our ministry assistant who puts a tremendous amount of energy in keeping everything going here at New Vision. Her and her husband, Adam, have a passion for music and art. They are involved in music here at the church as well as The Park Gallery, a place where people come together to build relationships through music and art.

Pastor Fergy has been serving at New Vision Christian Fellowship for the past 2 years as Prayer Pastor. In the past he has worked with gang members, addicts, and has also served as a youth pastor. Pastor Fergy has been married for 20 years to Gladys. Their children together are Jazmin and Elisha. Fergy also has children from a first marriage Sunsea, Thomas, Kryshane and Arion.
